Perth Meeting – 12th January 2016

Greeting Perth ADUGer’s (and all others), wishing you a Great, Wonderful and Very Merry Christmas and a Fantastic Good and Happy New Year for 2016.

Our January meeting is on Tuesday 12th of January (the normal date is not available), at our usual place – The Artifactory.

January’s guest speaker is Steve Corbett.

Stephen is a software developer with many years of experience working with a large range of technologies in a variety of industries.  He has worked on many software projects in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.  For over twenty years Stephen has provided software consulting services to a number of well known corporations including Volvo Truck Australia, Zodiac Group Australia, Yves Saint Laurent and Mobil Chemical (now ExxonMobil) and the Australian Government.

Steve’s presentation is a demonstration of a technique that can be used to create Delphi applications that are able to automatically update themselves to the latest version.  This technique is applicable to VCL and Firemonkey Windows desktop applications without the need for any 3rd party components.

Steve will be followed by our own Scott Hollows, showing us how to have fun with images.

And if Scott doesn’t have enough to keep you going, Frank Reynolds has been doing some more ‘Cow Herding’, with a couple of new tools he has written.
