Monday 18th September.
We started with our Annual General Meeting, the meeting which we have to have.
Our President, Scott Hollows, chaired this meeting.
More details on the AGM here.
Then Scott gave a presentation on “Displaying and Animating 2D Controls in 3D” using FireMonkey. Spin and zoom buttons, images and other controls in 3D with just a few lines of code using Scott’s utility units. He started with the ControlsDemo project supplied in sample code from Embarcadero, but found that he could take this further to animate live controls. The TViewPort3D and TLayer3D controls were required to achieve these effects.
All attendees will get full source code.
He also showed how to build the Star Wars opening crawl including angled and animated text

The meeting was held at the Melbourne Men’s Shed,
situated in the Federation Square Car Park building, off Russell St Extension.
