Brian Watson from desktop EDA, Tony Bryer from Greentram Software and Ian Krigsman from Discovery Systems spoke about different aspects of XML in Delphi.
Brian described using XML Binder to read XML without a schema. XML Binder comes with Delphi.He showed us how he’d used it to decypher XML describing components on a circuit board.
Tony described how he uses NativeXML from www.simdesign.nl/nativexml.html to read and write XML.
Ian showed how to use XSL to reformat XML documents, or to convert XML documents to nicely formatted HTML.
The meeting was held at the Melbourne Men’s Shed, situated in the Federation Square Car Park off the Russell St Extension.
