Reverse Engineering – Andrew Tweddle
Andrew discussed his experiences with reverse engineering a number of different file formats commonly used in automated electronic assembly. Whilst it was not a Delphi related presentation Andrew presented interesting insights into the process and tools including UltraEdit and UltraCompare.
The Clipboard and HTML – John McDonald
John made an interesting presentation on the Windows Clipboard with a focus on how web browsers copy highlighted data onto the Windows Clipboard and how the data can be interpreted by a Delphi application. John discussed the use and limitations of the VCL TClipboard component and how it can be simply enhanced by several Windows API calls. Johns example application is made available below.
