Wednesday September 7th at 5:30pm to 9pm.
We have 2 presentations on the night:
Mathias Burbach (ADUG Committee member) will give a remote presentation on DUnit & DUnitX
Implementing unit tests & integration tests with DUnit & DUnitX. We will compare the two testing frameworks that ship with Delphi. First by creating a sample unit test project for a bank account class. Then we will look at unit DUnit & DUnitX for testing a database application. Tests for a traditional client/server application will be shown using FireDAC and a SQL script to generate the fixture in the database. We will also look at a multi-tier application, testing all layers of the application (app server, client-side data modules & UI).
Bring your laptop/notebook/luggable and there is a real chance that we can talk about the first few steps to apply unit testing to your projects!
Eivind Bakkestuen will give a demonstration on how to connect to a NexusDB Database Server and load data from an Android app. Look ma, no REST API, no Delphi, no DataSnap!
