Geoff Harris will present on:

Sharing the experience and knowledge gained when applying for
the R&D Tax Concession from AusIndustry and completing the ATO R&D Tax
Schedule for your 2014 company return.

Abstract : The R&D Tax Concession scheme, introduced recently, is a
significant update on the older R&D Tax Incentive scheme. There have been
many changes to both the documentation that is assessed by AusIndustry as
well as massive changes to the expenses that can be claimed (especially when
related to the associates of a company). In this presentation, Geoff Harris
from NexusDB will explain the major changes that NexusDB had to make as a
consequence of updating their R&D plan and activities to meet the changed
and additional requirements of the new scheme. This talk is aimed at both
the Project Manager and the Managers of SME companies who have undertaken
software based research projects under both the old and new schemes. The
discussion is drawn from the experiences that NexusDB has recently been
through and hopes to share these experiences and knowledge with others
undertaking similar R&D activities.
