1 Message prefixing

The list server will automatically prefix the subject line with “ADUG” or “Re: ADUG” so that recipients can easily tell which messages are from the list.

2 Time fixing

The Date-time header of every message is set to the list server time rather than the time that was set by the originating mailer. This ensures that when the receiving mailer sorts the messages by date-time they will appear in the order in which they were distributed to the list.

3 Message size limit

Message sizes are limited to 20kB, including attachments.

4 Confirmation request override

Messages that request a response when the message is read are automatically modified to suppress this request. This prevents the reader’s mailer from generating a response back to the list.
