Monitoring your Firebird database with FBTraceManager - Thomas Steinmaurer
This
month Thomas Steinmaurer will join us from Austria via GotoMeeting to
talk about the Firebird trace API, which was introduced in Firebird 2.5
(see also here). This trace API is the base for Thomas' FB TraceManager.
First we will look at the trace API and how to use it in a command
prompt and then we will see how FB TraceManager can make it really
simple to spot the SQL commands that keep you Firebird server busy for
a long time and/or require many database page reads/writes.
