Monday 18th December at 6 for 6:15pm start.
Our December meeting is a Christmas Pi Night.
We will have food, Christmas Pies, Raspberry Pi, Ultibo, Christmas Lights, microprocessors playing Christmas music and more.
The cost of the food will be shared, probably $5- per head.
You can bring your own laptop and Pi, or work with others to get their Raspberry Pi into the Christmas spirit.
If you are bringing a laptop, please install Ultibo on it, and download raspberry pi firmware and the demo and example projects. Links are at https://ultibo.org/download/
If you have your own devices, bring a Pi, power supply, microSD card that can be overwritten, microSD to USB adaptor, anything that you want to connect to your pi (speakers, LEDs, screens, etc). There will be a couple of HDMI screens at the shed.
Remember that the Raspberry Pi-s cannot supply much current on the GPIO pins. The forums I have found suggest a maximum of 16mA per pin and a maximum total current for all pins of 50mA. This is quite a bit lower than what Arduinos can handle.
Note: Venue Melbourne Men’s Shed. No Catering
We now meet at the Melbourne Men’s Shed, situated in the Federation Square Car Park off the Russell St Extension.
Take the car park lift at the end of Russell St.
– The Men’s Shed is opposite the lift on the lowest level.
For those who will be driving, fixed price evening parking ($13.00) is available after 4:00pm.
